What are the social problems of Pakistan?

Pakistan is a beautiful country in South Asia. It was established in 1947 based on Ideology. It is so far the only country that came to existence because of a theory instead of blood, colour, geography, ethnicity, language, or war output.

Pakistan is still a developing country, many reasons are urging Pakistan not to prosper. Pakistan is the 7th atomic superpower in the world. Today my topic of discussion is Social problems that are common in Pakistan.

Corruption:

Corruption is the main problem of Pakistan. In Pakistan, not only leadership is corrupt but somehow public is also involved in this act. It is a big social problem as most of the people are unsecured in such a society. Different political parties are doing nothing in Pakistan except corruption. Corruption is a barrier to the progress of Pakistan.

Bribery:

Most criminals give a huge amount of money to police officers to save themselves, such an act is called "Bribery" which is the most common in Pakistan. From normal police officers to high ranked officers, everyone is involved in this crime even political officers, judges and other govt employees. Now, it has become one of the biggest social problems of Pakistan.

Injustice:

Injustice is also the biggest social problem that people are facing in Pakistan. Even when a crime is proved on someone, he remains out of jail until his case is pending. Courts are active but Pakistani Law's are not much strong to provide justice for anyone. Due to which people avoid going to court.

Weak democracy:

Democracy is considered as the power of every country. None of the countries can progress in this world without a democratic system. But, Pakistan is facing the problem of a weak democracy. Democracy becomes weak when laws for the poor becomes different from laws for the rich. Unfortunately, Democracy has remained just for the name in Pakistan.

OverPopulation:

OverPopulation is a social problem not only in Pakistan but in the whole world. The population is increasing day by day. The population is increased "when death rate becomes less than birth rate". In Pakistan, the population is increasing but resources like food, house, clothes etc are not. It is strange to know that the Pakistan govt is only trying to control the Birth rate, however, all the modern and developed countries are trying to increase resources.

Extremism:

It is hard to say but in reality, most Pakistanis are extremists. The extremism developed with the rise of left-wing movements in the 70s. After the 1994 Rwandan genocide in Africa, the Liberal doctrine was initially seen in Pakistan which later resulted in decade-long terrorism in the region.

Poverty:

Poverty is the mother of all problems. All the problems listed above and below are caused by Poverty. In Pakistan, rich people are becoming richer and richer while the poor are becoming poorer than before. Due to poverty, people even can't afford their basic needs of life. Many people even don't have their own houses and many people don't have food to eat.

Illiteracy:

It is also a big issue in our society that most people are uneducated, illiterate and backward. While several people are less educated, they just pass Matric exams. Due to this, they can't find a good job and poverty is increasing day by day.

Less Health sectors:

It is to be said that "Health is wealth" but there are fewer health sectors and hospitals in Pakistan. Due to the lack of government and public health sectors, harmful diseases spread and it becomes difficult to treat them.

Water Shortage:

Water is required to live alive in this world. According to science, about 70% of our body consists of water. We can't live without water. Pakistan is one of those countries that are facing water shortages for a few years. Govt of Pakistan is now trying to save their country from water shortage but it is too late.

Last Words:-

Pakistan is one of those countries whom Allah almighty has blessed with natural resources. Pakistan has everything but a few diseases like corruption, bribery and injustice that had to make Pakistan like this. But still, hope is alive. According to Allama Iqbal:-

نہیں ہے ناامید اقبالؔ اپنی کشت ویراں سے

ذرا نم ہو تو یہ مٹی بہت زرخیز ہے ساقی
